2025
March 2025 - March has been a busy month! Zach successfully defended his masters thesis, Julie received the CNSM Mayfield Award for Outstanding Teaching, and our lab was featured on the CNSM Research Snapshots page. Check it out here!
February 2025 - Joe Rocha joins the group. Welcome!
January 2025 - Athena, Jocelyn, and Audrianna presented posters at the 37th annual CSUBIOTECH conference in Garden Grove, CA.
2024
September 2024 - Athena, Zach, and Julie attended the SoCal Organometallics Meeting at UCSD. We had a great time hearing about awesome research and we presented two posters on our work. Kelly, Athena, Jocelyn, and Zach also presented posters on summer research projects at the CNSM Student Research Symposium.
August 2024 - Maria, Kelly, and Athena presented posters at the UCI Chemistry Summer Research Symposium. We also welcomed Melody and Kenai as new members to the group!
June 2024 - Welcome Audrianna who joins the group as part of the KURE Incubator summer research program! Our current students are also off to exciting summer internships! Bryan began an internship at Cedars Sinai, Kelly is interning at B. Braun Medical Inc., and Jocelyn is participating in the UCI SURF program.
May 2024 - We celebrated our recent graduates and they are off to new and exciting adventures! Eyas is attending the Chemistry PhD program at Virginia Tech, Daniela is off to a joint post-bac program at UCSF/UC Berkeley, and Kayla began the MS in Medical Science program at University of North Texas.
April 2024 - Congratulations to Julie who received the CSUBIOTECH New Investigator grant, to Zachary Hill who was awarded the Richard D. Green Graduate Fellowship, and Ahmad Jarrad who received the Analytical Chemistry Award!
March 2024 - Jason Haddadin joins the group. Welcome!
January 2024 - Maria and Athena presented a poster at the 36th annual CSUBIOTECH conference in Santa Clara, CA.
2023
December 2023 - We welcomed 4 new members that will start in the spring. Welcome Jocelyn, Joy, Harry, and Isaiah!
November 2023 - Eyas, Kayla, and Bryan presented posters at the SCCUR conference at CSUF.
September 2023 - Eyas, Maria, and Kayla presented posters at our annual CNSM Student Research Symposium.
August 2023 - We welcomed 4 new members this fall. Welcome Kelly, Athena, Zach, and Kayla!
April 2023 - Maria presented her research at the CSULB Week of RSCA and was accepted into the MD Alumni Research Program! Eyas was accepted into an internship and will be spending the summer at the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center. Congrats!
